The 2016 edition of the Tribeca Film Festival – whose co-founder is oscar winning legend Robert De Niro – will kick off on April 14th.
The Festival is presented by AT&T and features several interesting activities among which Tribeca Talks: Storytellers, a series of conversations with leading creators of their respective fields, starting with Ethan Hawke and Patti Smith and later on featuring also big names such as Tom Hanks, Tina Fay and his majesty Francis Ford Coppola. Also, there will be Tribeca Talks: Directors series, conversations with great names and artists such as Alfonso Cuarón, J.J. Abrams, and Jodie Foster.
The opening day will also see an Italian film among the ones destined to be shown: Perfetti Sconosciuti, Perfect strangers, by Paolo Genovese, distributed by Medusa Film and presented at the TFF in the section “International Narrative Competition”. It’s one of the most talked about films in Italy at the moment, and nominated for nine David Di Donatello awards, including best picture and best director of the year, has been chosen as the only Italian film to participate in this year’s Tribeca Film Festival in the International Narrative Competition. Paolo Genovese, film director, is in New York City as well.
Although preceded by some controversy, this new edition of TFF is about to start. NYC will host the Film Industry again giving us a wonderful experience of films, storytelling, culture, and visual art.
