The big snowstorm that by Friday hit the east coast of the United States has hit many cities in different states: one of the most affected is New York, which according to its Mayor De Blasio, has experienced  “the worst storms Snow in our history.” While now the worst seems to be over, after 28 inches of snow, it’s time now to count the damages and the victims which, according to the latest news, are at least 18, because of several accidents caused by the storm. In New Jersey a mother and her year old children died in the car because of the carbon monoxide fumes caused by the snow that blocked the exhaust pipe. Thousands of flights were canceled and the Pentagon has sent more than 2,300 man in the most affected cities, where, in some cases, the snow reached over 40 inches.

However in New York didn’t miss the opportunity to have fun with some unusual winter sports, including snowboarding in Central Park or even skiing attached to a jeep through the streets of a lunar Manhattan. Fun mixed also with the hard work of shoveling the snow in front of the buildings, trying to put the situation slowly back to normal.
