Lima, Peru: at the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U18 World Championship Italian girls made an accomplishment to remember,  beating USA with a decisive 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-16) and becoming World Champions. The Marco Mencarelli’s female team, that repeated a world success after four years (in 2011, always in Lima with the juniors), dominated the whole challenging for the Gold, confirming again its strength.

For Italy this is the first historical gold medal in this World Cup category. The second division had in fact already won a Silver (2003 Stack) and three bronzes (1995 Poitiers, 1997 Chiang Mai, 2005 Macau). Italy really deserved this first placement that, after a perfect first phase, beat Argentina, Serbia, Turkey and finally the United States. We’re proud of this new Italian international success!
